The evaluation shows that the cooperatives have made it easier for the ex-combatants to both integrate in society faster and raise their individual and collective incomes. All ex-combatants testified that they believe they had made the right decision to join cooperatives. In some cases, different individuals had different specialized skills but that was not helping them as individuals before joining cooperatives. When they brought those skills and abilities under one roof, they became a one stop centre which raised their innovation, and productivity. This gave them more leverage in the market and raised their incomes.
